• Nelumbo nucifera - Asiatic Lotus, also referred to as blue lotus, Indian lotus, sacred lotus, bean of India, and sacred water-lily.
• Note- there are no blue lotus. The confusion comes from the Lotus being classifed in the water lily family for many years. There are blue tropical water lilies.
• Considered hardy to USDA Zone 5
• All parts of the Lotus has food and or medicinal properties.

• All Lotus seeds have to go through "scarification" in order to grow
• This involves the scrapping of the outer seed hull
• If you are not sure how to do this I will prep the seeds for you so they are ready to start
• Recommend that you do not order this service unless you plan to start gowing the seeds as soon as you get them
• Scarification service is  $5.00 for each bag of seeds and can be selected as an option when ordering the seeds
