We are a small family run business dedicated to growing water plants for the pond, providing supplies and useful information about water gardens and related subjects. We currently have about 20 ponds of various sizes for growing aquatic plants.
We have been featured in Water Garden News May 2006 (a water gardening magazine for the water gardening/pond trade).
We are located in Otway NC which is about 10 miles east of Beaufort NC along Hwy 70. If you come to visit keep a sharp lookout as Otway has "Your are now entering and leaving Otway" on the same side of the sign.
Muddy Waters came about after my wife bought me a preformed pond as a birthday present. Shortly after that the only nursery in the area selling water plants shut down and we could not find any other local sources for water plants. About the same time the store where my wife was working announced they were shutting down and she wanted to do something she would have control of. She announced "she" was going to sell pond plants. I started tossing out names for her new business and guess what she picked. We decided that we did not want to build and or install ponds, just grow and sale the plants for the ponds.If you call, just leave a message and we will return the call just as soon as possible. We are on Eastern Standard Time.
We are open weekends Sat/Sun 9-5 or by appointment during the growing season. You are welcome to come by and visit. I recommend you call ahead to make sure that we will be here. We love to show off our plants and share ideas. Who knows, you may even buy some plants while you are here.
